False starts vs All In
I had attempted to jump into the Ideal Protein program before Christmas. For a week and a bit I was pretty diligent, but inevitably the holidays got in the way and I put it aside. It was a false start.
Heather and I jumped into the program together about three weeks ago. This time it feels like I am all in. I am steadily losing weight, down about 11 pounds. My energy is up and I can do life's normal things more easily, like putting on socks and bending down to pick up things off the floor. I can also cinch my belt to the third hole. When I started, the first hole was my cinching domain.
I'm definitely in a routine now.
Breakfast is an Ideal Protein golden pancake with a bit of butter and IP maple syrup.
Lunch is a healthy vegetable soup followed by an Ideal Protein Triple Chocolate Wafer.
I go without food in the afternoon and make a healthy dinner with two cups of vegetables and a whole protein.
While watching our show, Succession at the moment, I enjoy a bag of Ideal Protein Nacho chips.
Strangely, I have a fourth Ideal Protein snack when I wake up between 10:30 - 11:30 pm. In other words, I'm having extra calories beyond what the program allows, and it seems to be working for me. Every body is different. We had a previous dieter who did the same thing and thrived having that extra IP item each day.
Oh yes, I also have my allotted supplements throughout the day: potassium, omegas, multis, Vitamin C, and calcium magnesium. Being on this protocol, it is important to replenish the nutrients that the body is not getting because of the foods we are eating/not eating.
A former client said, while in Phase 1 of the program, that she had never felt so good. I would concur. I have more energy. My mind is sharper. And I feel incredibly productive and positive.
