Almost there

The last time my weigh scale dipped below 170 pounds was in 2016, just a few months before the fire in Fort McMurray. Based on my current average of losing 2-3 pound per week, I could hit my target number before we hit April.

The number itself is an arbitrary thing.  It's only a number. However, it represents a personal achievement and a move to a healthier lifestyle that has me feeling great.

This week I started tucking my shirts in for the first time in memory.  I need to use a belt to keep my painting pants from falling down.  I have more energy and confidence.

After I hit 167 pounds - that arbitrary number I wrote about earlier - I will move into Phase 2 of the Ideal Protein program, or the stabilization phase. That will mean an increase in the amount of whole proteins and the slow and steady reintroduction of carbs and fats.
