After 26 days

We arrived home from Vancouver Island 26 days ago. When I weighed myself that morning I was 193.6 pounds. When I weighed myself today I was 178.4.  That's just over 15 pounds gone in less than a month. I probably haven't been this light for 5 or 6 years, or well before the Fort McMurray fire forced us to evacuate for a full month to Calgary.

While on the Ideal Protein program, Heather and I have enjoyed some of our most memorable meals.  Isn't that strange?  Food tastes better when you're eating less of it.

What other things have I noticed?

The weight loss slows down as the weeks proceed and it can fluctuate up and down from day to day. You see, I'm getting on the scale at the start of every day. I want to see the data to better understand the process. If I was just a dieter attending an Ideal Protein clinic, I would probably just get on the scale once a week.

My hunger pangs are almost non-existent.  Sometimes I get a little peckish at the midway point between meals, but that easily overcome by having some water with one of the Ideal Protein water enhancer packets.

On some days my extremities - fingers and toes - get cold, particularly late in the afternoon before dinner. That seems to be normal when my body is in ketosis.

My body fat percentage continues to drop. It would be really nice to see it dip below 20 percent by the end of this journey.

I can't get enough water. In fact, I woke up this morning feeling absolutely parched. I'm probably drinking 3 to 4 litres a day.
