DADS and GRADS online art auction
Now that ART IN THE ALLEY has come and gone, it's time to make the large inventory of canvas prints available. We are focusing on DADS and GRADS with this one, though the online auction is available to everyone. There is a mix of gallery canvas prints, a couple of limited edition prints, and a number of original works.
We use the net proceeds from sales of prints to help our community and a number of charities and humanitarian causes. It's been a particularly busy few months of traveling, doing workshops in schools, and helping charities raise money. We are honoured to be able to help in this way, thanks to the generous support of our loyal clients.
This is our biggest auction yet, with over 25 items. Here are a few items to watch over the new few days. The auction will close on Friday, June 15th at 9 pm MST.
Robin Williams
This is the first time we are making this portrait of Robin Williams available as a canvas print. It's a very special piece of work, that touched a lot of hearts in those dark days when this comic genius left us back in August of 2014.
Edward Scissorhands
The character of Edward Scissorhands, played by Johnny Depp, became beloved when the film was released in 1990. This is the first canvas print of this portrait that I did back in 2015 being offered for sale.
Iggy the Iguana
This is one of my newest works AND it's the real deal that is available in the auction. If you've been waiting to get a one-of-a-kind original, this could be it.
Lemmy
This portrait of the late front man of Motörhead is being offered as a limited edition gallery canvas print. Only 20 of these will ever be available. This is #9.
RFK: 50 Years Gone
This portrait of Robert Kennedy was painted right around the 50th anniversary of his tragic death at the hands of Sirhan Sirhan in 1969. Watching the Netflix miniseries about his life inspired me to spend time in Birdsong Studio helping him emerge from the canvas.
