Blessed

Christmas Eve. Light snow falling in High River. Family on the way. Perfect.

I'm feeling incredibly blessed this morning as I putter away in the studio. I get to wake up every morning and come out to the space and create things that didn't exist the day before. And I often get paid to do it. I'm a lucky man.

And while my heart is full, I am thinking about those around me who are not feeling quite the same way. Some are grieving the loss of a son, brother and friend. Some are carrying burdens of ones they love that are struggling. Others are doing everything they can to make major shifts in their lives, working hard each day to keep moving forward, even if it is an inch at a time.

As we celebrate the season with family and friends, take a pause to remember those who are not in a position - physically, socially, mentally, or spiritually - to do the same.

Merry Christmas, every one.
