It catches up to you

My second full day on the Ideal Protein weight loss program had me feeling a little tired. It's been a crazy busy time on the rush to Christmas, doing workshops, completing commissions and sending packages hither and thither.

I keep fastidious records of my art productivity. As of yesterday, I had completed 272 paintings in 2025. Even for me that is a lot. I wondered that would visually look like, so I created this.

After sending off four different projects to locations in BC and elsewhere in Alberta, I jumped into a new painting. Heather was off in the city wrapping up her successful participation in the Under $100 Art Show. I found myself trying to nap several times and closed the shop earlier than normal. I had nothing left.

Too early to bed with the wind and rain blowing outside, we both had a devil of a time getting to sleep. Each of us, in our turn, got up a couple of times throughout the night. I am usually a nighttime snacker. On program, the only thing I was able to do was to finish the portion of my dinner meal that remained in the fridge. After eating, I was finally able to get to sleep.
