It's time

 I had a package unexpectedly land at more door, a package that I instantly started to open as it had come from the company I get most of my packages from. As the contents baffled me, I went back and looked at the label on the box. It was for someone else.

A quick search and I discovered that the box belonged to a local doctor. After informing the company of the mistake, a message went out to this individual and they popped over a couple of days later.

"Are you a doctor?" I asked.

"Yes," they replied.

"I'm looking for a family doc," I said. "Is there any chance that...."

"We're super full," they said, "but yes. We'd be happy to see you."

I didn't wait long. I called the next day and walked over for my first appointment a few days later. The nurse kindly (or cruelly) had me stand on the weight scale. The number that came out of her mouth has haunted me ever since.

I knew that I had returned to some bad habits. I knew that the day would come that I would jump back on the Ideal Protein program. I just didn't think it would be before the Christmas season. However, when that day arrives, nothing can stop it. Today's the day.
