Under the weather day

 I started feeling a little off on Monday. At first, I thought it was the mid-vacation blues. But as a fever came on overnight, I knew there was a physical reason for how I was feeling. I got up the next morning, made my coffee as usual, but barely drank any.  I knew then that it was going to be a slow day.

Tuesday is the day when the cleaner and gardener come over. So, we went for a slow and easy walk in the botanical garden about a kilometre east of the rental house just to get out of their way. I managed to get a few nice bird pictures.

We came back after a couple of hours and I pretty much spent the rest of the day in bed. I wasn’t super sick, just a little off. We wandered down the hill for a light dinner at our favourite pizza spot. The pizzas they make have an incredibly light crust; it was the perfect choice.

It is hard to tell from the picture, but we are staying at a much higher elevation than the folks who are in the old downtown. When we walk up the hill in the evening, there is always a lovely view at this exact spot.
