Our SEED Homes story

There has been a lot of interest in our SEED Homes story. The number of people, near and far, who have watched, listened and read about this downsizing and relocating adventure is remarkable. If you've been reading this blog, you might have some sense of the roller coaster ride we have been on.

I've said from the outset that the SEED Homes team has felt less like a contractor and more like a partner in this life changing endeavour. We have grown to know the team intimately, both the leadership of the company, and the skilled men and women who make the magic happen. We have been totally transparent about the process and our experiences with the company and the philosophy that has driven their dramatic growth. To that end, we have been invited to join them at the Okotoks Trade Show to be available to answer questions as the first owners of a completed SEED Home.  The show runs from 10 to 5 and 10 to 4 on Saturday and Sunday (April 13 and 14) at the Okotoks Recreation Centre.

Additionally, we are going to throw open our doors for a OPEN HOUSE the following weekend. Nothing compares to seeing the concept in real life. If you've watched. If you've read and wondered. If you've been shy about knocking on our door to have a look. These two days will be an open invitation to drop on by and look at what the SEED Homes team has created and how it feels.

Fair warning. The second building which will contain Birdsong Studio 3.0 will not have arrived yet. However, you'll be able to see where it will go and the engineered screw piles it will sit on. You'll also see that a lot of work remains to be done on our deck, yard and fencing. That will happen during the upcoming spring and summer.

It's hard to believe that this crazy ride started one year ago this week when we discovered this empty lot in High River.
Heather immediately had a vision and started working with the SEED Homes to design our future. It's a great story with a very positive result. We're happy to share it.
