Looking for prompts, inviting bids

I've been back in Canada over a week now.  My body, while somewhat adjusted, is still trying to navigate the 14 hour time switch.  I'm needing more naps and having much deeper sleeps, particularly early in the morning.  Where I normally get up between 6 - 6:15 am, I've been getting out of bed between 7 - 7:30 am.  My most effective strategy to put things back in order goes into action starting on Monday.

The 20 DAY PAINTING CHALLENGE will motivate me to get out of bed in several ways.  First, there will be the anticipation of what prompt comes out of the hat.  That's always exciting.  Secondly, I'll be on the clock in terms of my painting time.  Ideally, I'd like to have these paintings done by 9 am....or, at least mostly done.  The rest of my day needs to be used for paid projects, commissions that have been patiently waiting for a long time.

Our BIRDSONG FEBRUARY online art auction is in full swing and will wrap up at 9 pm MST on Friday night.  I've been building boxes as items get bids.  By the time the dust settles on this auction, over 40 boxes will be heading out to points across Canada.

ONE THING THE SAME
ONE THING DIFFERENT

I am once again offering a BUY NOW option on many of the items in the auction, especially gallery canvas prints.  I've done this before and it's a great way to turn your gallery canvas print into something unique and more valuable.  Anyone who chooses the BUY NOW option for gallery canvas prints will get a free upgrade to an EP or Embellished Print.  Some embellishments are done by hand to the gallery canvas print and five white dots in a row are hidden somewhere on the canvas.  Plus, an original signature is added and the date the embellishments were done.

Plus, choosing the BUY NOW price means that you get free shipping to anywhere in Canada.  That could save you between $20 - $40 depending on the size of your purchase and your location.

One thing I am doing differently is PULLING ITEMS from the auction that have not had any bids.  The truth is that the moment someone has offered the starting bid price, I am committed to selling the item.  The starting bid price generally covers our costs.  Our hope is that most items sell for above the starting bid price.  The longer it takes to get that first bid, the less likely that it will attract additional bids by the time the auction closes.  So, if you have your eyes on something, hoping to get it for a lower price, don't wait until the final day of the auction, as it might be pulled before we get there.

I think that some of the smartest buys of the BIRDSONG FEBRUARY auction are the new pieces by Heather.  They are on their own feature wall here in Birdsong Studio.  If you like abstract art, then these are sensationally priced and would be a valued addition to your home or business.
