Supporting friends

One of the best things about The Redpoll Centre is that the different organizations who share the space support each other.  This morning, we're all coming together in support of the Alzheimer Society hosting a coffee break.  It'll be a chance to visit, network, have a fresh cup of Joe and maybe get a treat to two with a donation.

We'll also be supporting one of our friends who has displayed her amazing photographs in our board room for the last six months.  Erin Stinson is one of the local artists who was featured in the latest issue of YMM Magazine.

I met Erin earlier this year and I was struck by the fact that she is a working artist in Fort McMurray.  But it wasn't just that.  There is a quality about Erin's work that I quite love, especially the stories she weaves with her macro photography pieces.  The three images in the above poster are great examples.  She also posted some wonderful winter shots just yesterday that are very striking.  You can see those by clicking here.  Moreover, she is a lovely human being with a passion for what she does.  I'm hoping you can come for a coffee and meet her, as she will be joining us today.

As a way of sharing the many lessons learned and memories from our recent production of A Christmas Carol, I had some 2015 calendar posters printed with the collaborative portrait of Scrooge.  These will be a small extra incentive to come by for a visit, have a coffee and support our friends at the Alzheimer Society.

Hopefully, we'll see you later this morning.
